Will Cooper Promoted to Managing Director at BlackArch Partners

Cooper is a founder of BlackArch Partners and co-heads the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure & Construction industry practices. During his 15 years of experience in middle-market mergers and acquisitions transactions, he has executed more than 40 sellside, buyside and strategic advisory assignments.

In 2011, Cooper helped lead the sale of Total Safety, a portfolio company of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, to Warburg Pincus.

While he is currently based in Charlotte, Cooper formerly was located in Houston, where he executed a number of Texas-based transactions on behalf of clients in Energy and related industries.

Prior to helping found BlackArch, Cooper was a director at Edgeview Partners, a Charlotte middle-market investment bank, and in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance LLC, where he was part of the Health Sciences industry team and helped coordinate cross-border transactions with Ernst & Young’s European offices.

Cooper earned both a master of science degree in accountancy and a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Wake Forest University. He holds a master of business administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he was named a Fuqua Scholar.
